Trunk road to close for five nights

THE A83 trunk road is to be closed to traffic for five nights, starting on July 23.

Two notoriously poor sections of the road surface either side of Arrochar are being improved in a two-stage project which began earlier this month.

As part of the £135,000 scheme, drainage is also being upgraded on the carriageway between Arrochar and Tarbet. A 400m section near Arrochar war memorial and another 700m length at Succoth will then be resurfaced.
