SENIOR player Tommy Angus’s decision not to play in any of the golf week competitions paid off as he won the gents open on Saturday.
Tommy won with a clear lead, scoring a magnificent nett 61, which also bagged him the Senior Trophy.
The golfer has won many competitions over his years at Lochgilphead but this was Tommy’s first open win and he was delighted when he made the double. The scratch trophy was won by Captain Ryan McGlynn with a gross score of 67. The club would like to thank the gents open sponsors Celidhs Homet, JMK Electrical, Macleod Construction and Empire Travel Lodge.
