COMMUNITY groups and charities can now apply for money generated by A’ Chruach wind farm.
The farm, owned by Infinis, is expected to generate millions of pounds of community benefit for West Loch Fyne, Dunadd and Lochgilphead. In its first year about £149,000 will be available for community projects and the grants will be distributed by Foundation Scotland.
Infinis head of operations Scott Mackenzie said: ‘The wind farm will not only make an important contribution to the supply of low carbon electricity, but it will also benefit the local community.
