Dear Oban trade as demand outstrips livestock supply

CALEDONIAN Marts Ltd, Oban, sold 128 store, breeding and OTM cattle, plus 341 store hoggets, feeding ewes and tups on Tuesday May 9.

Bullocks sold to 338.6p for a 254kg Limousin from D Mc- Donald, Tyree and to £1,110 for a pair of 404kg Limousins from Messrs A Campbell, Achnacreebeag, to average 258.4p.

Heifers sold to 292.2p for a pair of 338kg Limousins from Achnacreebeag and to £970 for a 348kg Limousin from the same home, to average 231.6p.
