Phantom cash prompts ATM fears in Inveraray

We have all heard of the ‘cashless society’, but a new phenomenon has appeared in Inveraray - phantom cash.

Inveraray woman Sandra Naisby was attempting to withdraw money from the RBS cash machine on January 22, and it duly gave her back the bank card and issued a receipt. The machine failed, though, to give out any notes. The Inveraray RBS branch closed on December 31 and Sandra is concerned her ATM problems might be a sign of things to come.
