Let there be light in Lochgilphead

THE SPIRIT of Lochgilphead’s much-missed lantern parade will be the inspiration for the 2017 Ignite festival of light in a few weeks.

The lantern parade offered smaller surrounding communities the chance to come to Lochgilphead to join in the celebrations. Planning is well under way by local volunteers for a ‘world exhibition’ type event, featuring mini pavilions, made using modular pieces constructed by schools, scouts and other groups.
