Runners take to beauty spot for inaugural Taynish event

THE sun made an appearance at the inaugural Taynish Run at Tayvallich recently.

A total of 54 enthusiastic athletes took to the trails of Taynish Nature Reserve to run either a 10k or 6.8-mile route on May 14.

Bragging rights in the 10k went to Ewan Dudding, from Lochgilphead, who completed the route in a blistering time of 39:23. Hillary Millar from Giffnock came in first lady in 48:24.
