Potential Scottish record for Loch Fyne angler

Nikki’s prize catch lives to fight another day

A KEEN angler from the Loch Fyne Sea Angling Club may have broken a Scottish record on the club’s latest outing.

Nikki Thompson landed a 20lb 4oz starry which is heavier than the Scottish boat record, a specimen award fish and a personal best.

Nikki and her prize catch will not be in the record books as to claim the record the fish would have had to be killed and Nikki let it go to fight another day.
