FOR THE third weekend in a row there was a road accident at Strone Point.
Trunk road authority Transport Scotland has, meanwhile, revealed ‘progress’ is being made on a much-delayed contract to widen and realign the A83 in the area.
The notorious sharp bend on the A83 near Inveraray was the scene of an accident on two successive Saturdays – September 2 and September 9 – before the latest on Sunday September 17. Each accident involved a motorcycle and, although there were no fatalities involved, the road was closed for a period on every occasion.
