WITH research revealing almost half of British people have never visited a Scottish castle, VisitScotland is encouraging everyone to ‘bag’ as many as they can.
Boasting more than 80 castles, the national tourism organisation believes Argyll and the Isles is a fantastic region for visitors to start their castle trail as the 2017 Year of History, Heritage and Archaeology comes to a close.
