Community spirit shines on Loch Fyneside

LAST weekend demonstrated that community spirit in Furnace is alive and well.

To everyone’s surprise, early rainfall last Saturday gave way to dry weather and even some sunshine as Furnace residents, friends and visitors took to the football pitch for a series of gruelling outdoor challenges to kick off the Furnace annual gala weekend.

Star of the show was a 100ft inflatable assault course which was gleefully tackled by youngsters – and only slightly less gleefully by those young at heart.
