Much-loved Ardrishaig teacher takes a bow

FRIENDS and colleagues will gather today, Friday June 30, to mark Ann McMillan’s retirement from Ardrishaig Primary School.

It will be the end of an era in more ways than one. Ann is the only member of staff to have worked in both the old school on St Clair Road and at the current location.

When she graduated from Jordanhill, Strathclyde Regional Council was the administrative body and new teachers could list the areas in which they wanted to work.
