MEMBERS of Lochgilphead’s branch of the Scottish Women’s Institute (SWI) enjoyed an interesting presentation from Malcolm Lamont of Scotland’s charity air ambulance.
The charity’s yellow helicopters are based in Perth and Aberdeen but cover all of Scotland and are a familiar sight arriving at Mid Argyll Hospital, Lochgilphead.
The operation is solely funded by voluntary donations with some staff seconded from other services. Malcolm spoke of the critical hour and the impor tance of reaching the patient and getting them to hospital as soon as possible.
