Leanne works her way to top pool job

The swimming pool has a home-grown deputy manager to help run the facility. MACPool in Lochgilphead has appointed 24-year-old Leanne Williams to the role after two years working at the pool. In that time she not only worked as duty manager, lifeguard and swim teacher, but also trained as an aquacise instructor. Leanne, from Ardrishaig, is studying for an SVQ level three qualification in leisure management. In her new role she will oversee the duty manager, lifeguard and swim teacher teams, arrange training and keep staff qualifications up to date as well as looking after the running of the MACPool office, shop and reception. ‘I’m just really pleased,’ Leanne commented. ‘I have a lot to learn but I’m looking forward to it.’ 06_a18macpool03
