Last-gasp cup exit for Inveraray

Inveraray 4

Oban Celtic 5 (AET)

MACAULAY Cup runners up last year Inveraray were knocked out of this year’s tournament, losing 5-4 to Oban Celtic after extra- time.

Lee Askew opened scoring for Celtic with a scrappy goal after five minutes but as the game flowed from end to end, Inveraray responded well with Ruaraidh Graham and Allan MacDonald scoring to put the home side ahead 15 minutes later.

Another blow was to follow for Celtic as they lost full back Andy MacDonald with a nasty cut to his face.
