THERE was a mass jailbreak at Inveraray recently as runners from all over Scotland, and beyond, took part in the sixth annual jailbreak race. The course record went toppling as Michael Deason broke his own course record from 2015. He went flying up Dun Na Cuaich and back down again in a time of 26:18. Earlier in the weekend he had beat his personal best for 10 kilometres and wasn’t sure he had recovered enough; his doubts were unfounded. Second placed Harry Holmes was over a minute after in a time of 27:25 followed by Tom Smith, who was the first veteran over 40 home.
