OBSERVANT Advertiser readers may have noticed the Union flag fluttering in place of the more familiar Saltire above Lochgilphead’s front green last Friday.

When the Advertiser inquired on Friday, a spokesperson for the local authority explained: ‘The Union flag was flown today, June 2, to mark the anniversary of Coronation Day.
