Son Kris in driving seat as Ronnie retires

LONG-serving garage owner Ronnie Gordon is to hang up his spanners after 35 years’ service at Ardrishaig’s Pier Garage.

Ronnie will hand over the well-known business to son Kris after a career that has seen him successfully service and repair thousands of vehicles and reassure just as many customers.

After completing his apprenticeship in Helensburgh, Ronnie moved to Lochgilphead where he was foreman in the Fyneside Garage, now the site of the town’s Tesco store and petrol station.
