Rona Barbara (née Morrison), previously of Woodlands, Tarbert Road, Ardrishaig, died on August 18, 2016, at Mercy Hospice, Auckland, New Zealand. She was 46. Rona had been battling cancer since early this year. Born on November 15, 1969, in Elderslie, the youngest child of Tom and Moira. Rona attended school in Ardrishaig and Lochgilphead, and University in Paisley. On November 8, 1999, Rona married Mike and they have travelled extensively together ever since. Rona has lived and worked in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney and most recently Auckland, where she was the Marketing and Fundraising Manager for the SPCA in New Zealand. Rona was an outgoing and happy person and was loved by all who met her. Rona will be greatly missed, especially so by her loving husband, Mike, her sister, Kirsty, and brothers, Neil and Euan. Rona’s funeral was held in Auckland on August 22, 2016 and a memorial service will be held at the Cairnbaan Hotel, Argyll, on September 15, 2016 at 11.30am, where all who knew her or her family are welcome to attend. Rona’s family would like this to be a clebration of her life and if attending appreciate it if you would wear something respectful, yet colourful. Memorial donations may be made in Rona’s name to either Mercy Hospice Auckland or the SPCA in Auckland.
