Three Arran schools are to get extra cash as North Ayrshire Council has been given more funds by the Scottish government.
North Ayrshire Council is to receive a share of £4.4million under the Pupil Equity Funding scheme announced by Deputy First Minister John Swinney MSP.
Councillor Willie Gibson, shadow education portfolio holder for the SNP group at North Ayrshire Council, welcomed the announcement which will see Brodick Primary School receive £7,200, Lamlash Primary £9,600 and Arran High School £14,400.
