The Scottish council elections are now less than two months away and returning officer Elma Murray is keen to ensure as many people as possible are registered to vote.
Elma Murray hands over a leaflet to voter Stuart Ruddock at an event at the council HQ in Irvine.
Local schools are also getting in on the act to encourage 16- and 17-year-olds to register to vote as this is the first time they have had the chance to influence local politics. Election day takes place from 7am to 10pm on Thursday May 4.
