Former Arran police sergeant dies

A well-known former Arran police sergeant, who many will remember for his work on the island in the 1980s, has passed away, writes Colin Smeeton.

Retired chief inspector John Beck died at the Ayrshire Hospice on Friday January 18 after a long illness. He was 67 years old.
