Members of the Arran Mountain Rescue Team were treated to these spectacular scenes of a cloud inversion, which had engulfed the entire Clyde area, after the successful rescue of a female walker who had become lost trying to descend Goatfell in thick fog.
The cloud inversion surrounded by the hills of Arran.
The team received the emergency call around 3.25pm on Monday afternoon altering them to the lost woman. Contact was made quickly via her mobile phone but the exact location of her whereabouts was uncertain. Both the team’s Argocats were utilised to get team members, including one of our team search dogs, as high up Goatfell as possible while other team members made there way up Glen Rosa towards the saddle area.
