The 128th Dougarie Sheepdog Trials were held at Glenloig on the String Road recently where Matthew McNeish of Sliddery picked up a clutch of trophies with his sheepdog Pip.
A total of 45 dogs from all over the west of Scotland competed, nine of which were in the confined class for Arran handlers.
Winner in the open class for the second year running was Stuart Davidson from Dunoon, while the runner-up was Neil McEachern who is also from Dunoon, although he lived on Arran for many years until his retirement.
