Arthritis Digest  |  2021 Issue 4
One of the most exciting findings covered in this issue, is that a class of drugs called biologics is now available for some people with moderate rheumatoid arthritis, instead of only those with severe disease. Biologics have the capacity to transform quality of life for people affected, so it’s a moment to celebrate for thousands of people (page 23).
The upbeat vibe continues throughout the issue. Scottish singer, Fiona Kennedy, believes in the power of complementary therapies to maintain physical health, and music to get us through the tough times. Along the same theme, the products we’ve included in our round-up on page 5 will keep musicians with arthritis playing.
If you find your arthritis is hindering your ability to enjoy your hobbies and complete everyday tasks, turn to page 17 to hear how an occupational therapist may be able to assist.
And for anyone up for a UK island holiday, the Scilly Isles could be an ideal destination. The white sands and boating about are certainly tantalising. Enjoy the issue.
