TONI MINICHIELLO has advised Jessica Ennis-Hill to take “two or three months” to consider her next step as the Olympic heptathlon silver medallist contemplates retirement, according to the BBC.
Minichiello has coached Ennis-Hill since she was 13 years of age and has guided the 30-year-old to two world titles, one Olympic gold, one world silver and now an Olympic silver.
“She clearly won’t do another Olympic Games in 2020. If there are opportunities coming up, I need to start having a look at that as a career going forwards,” he told the BBC.
Minichiello also hinted he would take time to think about his future too.“It will be a bit of a decision I have to make for myself so maybe it’s time for me to be a bit selfish and make some choices for me,” he said.
