MARCEL JUST HAS TOO MUCH FOR HOME FAVOURITE

MARCEL HUG has the upper hand over David Weir right now. The Swiss ‘silver bullet’ beat the Briton in the London Marathon in April and again proved too strong for the home favourite in the T54 1500m in the Olympic Stadium on Saturday.

Hug came into the home straight in pole position and out-sprinted Richard Chiassaro (Jenni Banks) and the fast-finishing Weir to win in 3:19.73.
