WHAT’S NEW?
What: A new sports insole that provides orthotic support. It’s made with a patented “smart” memory foam-type material called D30 that is said to cushion the foot during slow movement, but to absorb and disperse energy when impact is high before “instantly returning to its flexible state”. Available as full insoles, three-quarter insoles or heel cups.
Why: They are worn and endorsed by Usain Bolt, no less independent trials commissioned by the manufacturers have shown the insoles reduce shock by 44% and give a 36% improvement in energy return “as delivered in the forefoot after 500,000 compressions”. What really matters, of course, is how they feel and we can vouch that they are supremely comfortable.
Where: Available in UK sizes 3-12, the full-length performance insoles are priced at £39.99, three-quarter insoles £24.99 and heel cups £19.99. They are on sale exclusively in Superdrug or online at enertor. co.uk from June 29.
