It’s my first morning in Budapest and I am out of bed ridiculously early. The previous day, a fellow travel writer convinced me to set a pre-dawn alarm so I could catch the sunrise. Soon we’re in a taxi to Fisherman’s Bastion, a 19th-century, stone look-out tower whose arches and seven turrets bring to mind a Disney castle. Although it’s one of the city’s most popular sights, at this early hour we have it to ourselves.
