Jordan Lawler, the Arizona Diamondbacksʼ first-round pick (6th overall) in 2021, got a taste of the big leagues last September when he was called up after a hot streak at Triple-A that saw him hit .358 with five homers in 16 games. In his debut, Lawler collected his first big-league hit. The presumed shortstop of the future for the D-backs – shown homering during spring training this year – may not crack the Arizona roster to open the season but will almost certainly be there sooner rather than later.
