A 1909-11 T206 Honus Wagner designated “Authentic” by PSA sold for $1,968,000 in Mile High Card Company’s August 2023 auction that closed in the early hours of September 8 – a record sum for a T206 Wagner Authentic.
According to Mile High, the card received the Authentic designation because it had been restored by a past owner who wanted to remove blemishes on the original image.
The card has seen a bump in value, with this copy having sold for over $1.1 million in 2021.
