Long before “Coach Prime” was making headlines in the college football ranks, Deion Sanders was running balls down in center field and flying fast on the basepaths. Here’s a look at the baseball side of one of the most successful two-sport athletes ever. Sanders may be best known for winning two Super Bowl rings (one with the 49ers, one with the Cowboys), enshrinement to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, or for being named head football coach at Colorado. But he also played in a World Series – and as of now, he’s still the only player to ever play in both major events.
