Panini was once again a major sponsor of the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in January. Several 2018 NFL rookies attended the event to ofer advice and guidance to prospective 2019 rookies. They also signed some of their inal cards for 2018 Panini products. We caught up with six notable rookies to talk about what they learned during their irst year as a pro, and seeing their irst oicial football cards throughout the season.

PHILLIP LINDSAY, RB, BRONCOS

• 192 Carries

• 1,037 Rushing Yards

• 241 Receiving Yards

• 10 Total TDs

• 5.4 Yards per Carry

WHAT WAS YOUR WELCOME TO THE NFL MOMENT?

“Honestly, it’s been a rollercoaster couple of years. I've been so numb to everything that I’ve just been going with the flow. It didn’t hit me until after the season when I got to sit back and think I’m really living my dream that I’ve always wanted to live. I look back at it and just really appreciate the things that happened in my life to get me to this point. When I got to sit down and talk to my father, he said, ‘Son, do you really realize what you have done?’ I just kind of sat there and looked at him.”

WHAJDID YOU LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF IN YOUR ROOKIE YEAR?

“Just the maturity of myself, when I first came to college and where I’m at now. I lookback and see how much I’ve grown as a young man. I’m proud of myself because I walk a straight line and do the right things. I don’t have to worry about what’s going to happen because I’m not doing the right things or looking behind my back. I’m excited to be able to continue to mature.”

AFTER BEING UNDRAFTED, YOU FINALLY HAVE A LOT OF LATE-SEASON ROOKIE CARDS. WHAT’S IT BEEN LIKE SEEING ALL THESE NEW CARDS?

“I definitely see a lot more people with my cards now. It’s cool to see how the action shots look. It’s a surreal moment seeing yourself on a card. I’ve always seen people on cards, so it’s a great feeling. It’s something I’ll always be able to cherish and my kids will be able to see, I’m happy to get an opportunity to do this."
