RINGSIDE REST & CARE

THANKYOU to the organisers of Haringey Box Cup last weekend for giving Paul Fairweather a table to display and sell RR&C merchandise at the event. Interest and sales were fantastic, no doubt because Paul was helped by John Oliver and Carol Armstrong!

This Sunday sees Battlebridge ABC hosting a Fun Day helping towards RR&C funds (at Battlebridge Boxing Club Frenches Road, Merstham, midday). On the same day and time, Essex EBA are holding their sponsored walk for RR&C at Southend-on-Sea pier with 22 members taking part.

Thomas Hauser catches up with a man who knows how Andy Ruiz Jnr is feeling ON June 1, 2019 – the night that Andy Ruiz Jnr shocked the world by beating Anthony Joshua – a large, hulking man, casually dressed with a pleasant demeanour, made his way through the crowd at Madison Square Garden. He didn’t exactly blend in. At 6ft 6ins tall and weighing more than 300lbs, it’s hard to blend. Those who saw him could have been forgiven for thinking that he was a retired NFL lineman.
