Cakes & Sugarcraft  |  October/November 2018
In this issue you'll find plenty of beginner-friendly projects including an orange fox with piped buttercream fur, a fireworks cake to introduce you to chocolate work, and a rhubarb and custard cake from a familiar Bake Off face.
Once you’re ready to step it up a level you can create your own unicorn baby using simple modelling techniques, make ice skating figures using cut-outs and have a go at cake carving with a colourful World Teacher’s Day cake.
If you’re looking for something spooky for Halloween this year, why not have a go at our mummy covered in wafer paper bandages? There’s a special trick for keeping the wafer paper flexible – find out what it is on page 20. Or, if cupcakes are more your thing, there are cute skulls, pumpkins and cauldrons which are more treat than trick.
Although they might seem a little daunting at first, sugar flowers are so rewarding to make. This issue featured Chinese lanterns, hellebores, dahlias and more. Have fun mixing and matching blooms to create your own beautiful arrangements.
