MISERABLE weather did not deter a soil specialist during a Farm Advisory Service (FAS) event at Nether Largie, Kilmartin.

Gavin Elrick, who braved the elements and held some lively debates covering the need to soil sample, get pH, P and K status corrected, which in turn will improve grass growth and tillering.

In addition, the need to ensure there was no soil pan where modern machinery can cause issues, but can be regulated.
