Tenement rebuild wins empty homes award

THE £450,000 restoration of a derelict Campbeltown tenement recently won the Outstanding Project award at the Scottish Empty Homes Conference.

The Argyll and Bute Council-led regeneration scheme to upgrade the B-listed 18th-century building at 50/52 Main Street, which was carried out by Lochgilphead-based MacLeod Construction Ltd, was opened by MSP Michael Russell last summer.
