A FLOAT with the Minions at play which wowed Campbeltown crowds at the Christmas lights switch-on in November helped raise £1,000 for charity.

On Thursday of last week, Andrew Smith, of Andrew Smith and Sons, his partner Alison MacGregor and Stuart Herraty of MPL Household, Paul Mc-Cartney’s management company, formally presented the money at Campbeltown hospital’s sunshine room.
