Comedy film festival pulls out all stops
IN JANUARY a Kintyre funnyman was very impressed with the live comedy on offer at the Scottish Comedy Film Festival’s preview. His Facebook post attracted many comments and if that core of people bought tickets for this weekend’s events it would be a very good start to the inaugural festival.
The post suggested SCOFF organisers should pull out all the publicity stops and they cannot be faulted. The Courier and Advertiser have featured big advertisements as well as articles, including a Charlie Chaplin world premiere. In less than two weeks the Malts Festival opens. This week former Courier reporter, Springbank marketing director, Ranald Watson, has penned a good guide to its events. Hot on the heels of the Malts comes the MOK Run. Last weekend’s Kintyre Way ultra marathon opened May’s athletic events.
