A CAMPAIGN group fighting for women’s pensions is urging Kintyre women to join a London demonstration.
Argyll and the Isles Women Against State Pension Inequality (WASPI Argyll & Isles) recently attended a full Argyll and Bute Council meeting to talk about the campaign and the council unanimously supported the motion for fair transitional pensions for women born in the 1950s.
Later this month, on January 28 and 29, Oban’s McCaig’s Tower will be lit up purple to highlight the WASPI campaign and a national demonstration at Westminster has been organised for March 8.
