MOVERS and shakers from the South Kintyre Seniors Forum, together with volunteers, stepped on the ‘happy bus’ to Oban to attend a special silver tea dance.

The event at the beginning of October, hosted by the Argyll and Bute TSI office in Oban, featured a ‘hilarious’ raffle and prize draw, an afternoon tea and musical entertainment from the Swing Sensation and the Boogies. Michele Hodgkinson, community resilience officer for the 1,000 Voices project, was delighted to attend. She said: ‘The dance was fabulous and attended by hundreds of people from all across Argyll. It was such a laugh helping to support our Oban friends and see so many happy faces.
