Folk ambassadors and Celtic reggae rockers at festival

SCOTTISH traditional music ambassadors Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham first tuned up at the MOK Fest in 1999.

The seventh festival also featured Beginish from Ireland, Burach, Maire Ni Chathasaigh and Chris Newman, with Celtic reggae outfit Edward II finishing off the night. Another highlight that year was street entertainers The Chipolatas who performed at the ‘Harbour Splash’ as well as various open air venues.
