Borrowing a pal’s car led a driver to court

A CHRISTMAS Eve drive to Southend and subsequent crash, in a car which he did not have permission to drive, resulted in a teenager being fined £400.

William John Megson, 19, of 146 Ralston Road, Campbeltown, pleaded guilty to a charge of taking and driving away without consent and a further charge of having no insurance in Burnside Street and on the Learside Road, at Campbeltown Sheriff Court last Thursday.
