A 40-YEAR-OLD Campbeltown man is £900 worse off after he ran away from the police three times.
When officers tried to put handcuffs on Willliam Thomas Kelly of 97 Ralston Road, and take him back to Campbeltown police station to carry out a search because of the ‘overpowering smell of cannabis’, he told them ‘**** this’ and ran off with the officers in pursuit. They caught up with him yards later, grappling him to the ground, one officer ending up on top of him, but Kelly struggled free and ran off, they caught up yards later and the same happened again.
‘There was no talking to him,’ said one of the constables.
