A CYCLING duel between two heavyweights of Scottish sport will light up May’s Kintyre Way (KW) Ultra event.
Last year BBC2 Adventure Show star, Dougie Vipond, featured the race on his show. This year he’s part of it and is determined to beat former Scotland rugby player and its first professional captain Rob Wainwright.
Entries have closed and so far just 70 other cyclists have signed up to race alongside the pair on a 73-mile leg of the Kintyre Way starting just south of Tarbert at 8.30am on Saturday May 5.
