Sir,
I am researching an author called Monica Hutchings, who wrote numerous books, both factual and fiction, mainly about the West Country, published from the 1940s to 1970s.
In her later years she lived at Carradale and, in fact, it is reported that she tragically drowned in the sea near there in March 1977.
Her last book, unpublished to date, was about a Scottish wild cat which she had befriended.
Any information, recollections or contacts would be very much appreciated, as I would really like to know more about this fascinating and productive writer. If you can help, please contact me on 01935426995.
