A SUMPTUOUS spread of home baking was a welcoming sight at Campbeltown Royal National Lifeboat Institution’s (RNLI) tea afternoon.
Visitors to the event, which was a late running of RNLI’s Mayday fundraisers, in the lifeboat station last Saturday afternoon, helped the organisation raise £254. As well as teas in the station’s upper floor crew room, there were tours of the lifeboat with crew members, one of whom was the only casualty of the day, when he gashed his head on a light in the engine room.
