Saltwater soaking sees safety man baptised


A CS WIND health and safety manager was literally overwhelmed when a minister baptised him in the sea last Sunday.

Earlier, during an Easter Sunday service in Peninver hall, Reverend Chris Holden told a congregation of nearly 80, that to baptise someone means to overwhelm them with water. It would confirm that earlier this year Stuart McTaggart had professed a new found faith in Christ.Many relatives of Mr McTaggart attended the service, as well as his best friend from primary and secondary school Brian Robertson who joked he hoped Mr McTaggart had completed a risk assessment for plunging into the sea fully clothed.
