Rain fails to ruin golf club’s spirit

LOCHGILPHEAD Golf Club got in the swing of things last weekend as members donned their golf-themed fancy dress. The TW Scaffolding Tri Am, sponsored by Simon Taylor and Mitchell Wishart of Taylor & Wishart Scaffolding, is a fun day competition that ends with an evening dance.

Despite being one of the wettest days anyone has played on Lochgilphead golf course, 19 teams of three competed. But not all could face the weather to complete their round. With a nett 46, it was the ladies’ team, The Birdies, who persevered through the wind and the rain to claim the £300 cash prize.
