A party of golfers flying to Carnoustie made an emergency chopper landing in Southend to the surprise of onlookers.
While travelling from Magherafelt, Northern Ireland, last Sunday to watch the final day of The Open, won by Francesco Molinari, the pilot was advised to make an emergency landing because of increasing fog. The pilot touched down in a Theld at Machribeg farm in Southend.
Luckily for the golfers the fog lifted and they continued their journey later that afternoon.
